IMP and ISBL have formed a new partnership to give trusts clearer, more consistent financial insight. IMP brings data from more than 6,000 schools, while ISBL contributes independent expertise through the recognised ASOT tool, which is delivered in partnership with Ash House Consultancy Ltd, including key metrics and diagnosis. Together, this creates a stronger foundation for defining what ‘good’ and ‘bad’ look like across the sector.
By combining large-scale sector data with expert judgment, the partnership adds meaningful value back to the sector. IMP will be able to provide an additional perspective in its reporting, allowing trusts to compare real-world performance with credible, recognised ASOT standards.
Bethan Cullen, ISBL’s Deputy CEO, welcomes this new partnership as “ISBL’s threshold group will gain valuable insights through IMP data reporting, which will help to inform the annual threshold review and the setting of future metrics. This will offer the sector further assurance when completing their long-term financial planning.”
Will Jordan, Co-Founder of IMP, said:
“Partnering with the expert team at ISBL is an exciting step forward in giving our MAT customers even deeper, clearer insight into how to maximise educational outcomes through robust financial planning and fully integrated ICFP. By combining IMP’s sector-wide data with ISBL’s respected ASOT framework, we’re enabling trusts to see how their curriculum planning and resource allocation compare not only to the national picture but also to ISBL’s benchmark of what ‘good’ looks like. This will shine a light on areas that sit outside expected ranges and empower leaders to take confident, evidence-based action.”
As the work develops, ASOT metrics and thresholds will be built directly into IMP’s reporting tools, giving leaders a clearer and more consistent way to interpret performance across their schools.
