The DfE have announced additional “Connect the Classroom” funding for schools that fall within Priority Education Investment areas and need to improve their Wireless infrastructure.

During the pandemic, many schools issued their students with laptops and tablets to enable learning from home. These devices now need to be incorporated into classroom learning which has in turn placed a higher stress on many schools Wi-Fi network infrastructure. If your school falls within the education investment areas in Blackpool, Bradford, Derby, Doncaster, Fenlands & East Cambridgeshire, Halton, Hartlepool, Hastings, Ipswich, Knowsley, Liverpool, Middlesborough, North Yorkshire, Norwich, Nottingham, Oldham, Portsmouth, Rochdale, Salford, Sandwell, Stoke-on-Trent, Tameside, Walsall, or West Somerset you could be eligible for a free W-Fi upgrade.
