Heralded as the biggest shake-up since privatisation, Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) will impact every school and MAT.
The programme is now underway, marking a major step forward in how the UK’s electricity is measured and billed.
MHHS will see every electricity meter read and settled every 30 minutes, replacing estimated billing for non-half-hourly meters. This change will bring greater accuracy, transparency and efficiency across the energy market, helping the grid to balance electricity demand and support renewable integration and decarbonisation.
