Control staff-absence costs without procurement risk. Schools can buy staff-absence protection through the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) Staff Absence Protection & Reimbursement Services framework. The Department for Education recommends this framework to schools and academies. For clarity, the recommendation relates to the CPC route, not individual suppliers.
