SRMAs: What’s it all about?

School Resource Management Advisers have been part of the system leadership offer since 2018. There are now over 150 SRMAs working nationally with schools, academies, LAs, UTCs, special schools etc. They work alongside school and governance leaders providing FREE independent support and advice.

In this recorded conversation, four of the team talk openly with Sarah Ray regarding being an SRMA. They share about this valuable work and the impact it has had on the organisation and their own CDP.

  • Carla Bradshaw talks about how she became an SRMA. The accreditation process is robust, and candidates have to prepare thoroughly, with lots of support available from ISBL
  • Stephen Lester talks about when he became accredited. The programme has been running for over 4 years and SRMAs have worked with over a thousand organisations
  • Rebecca Beaver talks about why she became accredited. The aim is to support school business professionals and executive teams to make the most of their valuable resources
  • Phil Helme talks about who supported him to become an SRMA and how the team are professionally generous and use peer review to ensure high quality work
  • They all share about what evidence-based recommendations they have provided, which can be taken up if the leaders decide to do so.
