The DfE recently published an updated version of the KCSIE guidance in preparation for the new academic year with provisions coming into effect 1 September 2023. An initial review indicates that changes are minor and include changes to Filtering and Monitoring, Online Searches, Document Retention and organisations using school premises.
The conditions of service for teachers – the “Burgundy Book” has recently been updated in order to reflect legislative changes and replace outdated terminology. These changes come into effect on 1 September 2023. The main provisions relate to notice periods, sick leave and pay in addition to maternity leave and pay.
