Kicking off the new year, we’ve appointed Jonny Coates as our new Vice Chair of Trustees, starting in April. A long-term ISBL member and trustee, Mr Coates works as the head of Business and Financial Support Services at Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust.
We are very lucky to have a board made up of some exceptionally experienced and knowledgeable professionals, and they have chosen Jonny to work alongside Chair Gary Corban from April.
Speaking about his appointment, Jonny said: “I have been proud to serve the board of ISBL since 2021 and am honoured to have been elected as Vice Chair of Trustees from April 2024. This presents a significant opportunity personally to not only make a difference to colleagues and give something back to the education sector but also to represent schools from the North-East of England to participate and influence on national matters affecting the sector.”
Jonny’s advocacy for school business leadership is backed up by his work:
“At Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, we are passionate about developing all of our school business professionals operating across our family of 38 schools as they play such a key role in shaping lives for children and young people and are embedding ISBL Professional Standards, hosting regular CPD sessions and providing a platform for sharing best practice and networking.”
During his time working with ISBL, Jonny has brought this enthusiasm and energy for developing school business leadership within his organisation to our membership as a whole. We’re really looking forward to continuing to work with Jonny and Chair Gary Corban as he takes up his new role in April.
