If you’re part of, or considering joining the RPA, it’s important to know that some of the coverage provided is limited, and, in some cases, specific cover isn’t included at all.
Below are four key questions to help determine if your school is fully protected under the RPA:
- Do you conduct regular engineering inspections on your lifting equipment and pressure plant (as required by legislation)? Engineering inspections are not covered by the RPA, therefore you’ll need to arrange them independently.
- Do you have vehicles, or allow employees to use their own vehicles for school business? If yes, then you’ll need tailored insurance cover that isn’t currently included in the RPA.
- Are you planning to refurbish, extend, or add new buildings to your school? If so, consider whether your current RPA coverage is sufficient, or if you need to arrange additional coverage.
- Does your cyber insurance cover the full cost of recreating data and systems? Not all policies cover these costs. You should also make sure you have access to expert response services in the event of a cyber incident.
