While you may be well-versed in supporting employees with disabilities, what about supporting employees with hidden disabilities?

Not all disabilities are visible. Recent tribunal cases have highlighted the need for employers to take a more careful and considered approach to supporting employees with hidden disabilities. Hidden disabilities can be incredibly varied and include chronic illnesses such as diabetes, fibromyalgia and neurodiversity e.g. ADHD or dyslexia.

Hidden disabilities can have a profound impact on the lives of individuals they affect. Employers should consider reasonable adjustments and think creatively, with input from the employee, to seek solutions to best address their needs in the workplace.
