After 25 years and an increasing issue with leaks, the roof at All Saints Infant School, Hessle was due a refurbishment. It presented an interesting challenge and despite the complexity of the project, it was a huge success. The school’s complex design would require a flexible roofing solution. Work would need to be conducted while the school was occupied, and deliveries were to arrive outside of school hours – the logistics and planning required for this project, therefore, exceeded the typical. The school’s main priority was, understandably, longevity. A roof installation that could be guaranteed to last for decades and cause minimal disruption to the school was essential. Experienced Sika certified roofing contractor L.A. Hall rose to the challenge, they were a trusted choice, and Sika, with a 20-year amortised guarantee, the right solution. The prospect of a full package with Sika held appeal. A BBA life expectancy of 50+ years, alongside a lengthy guarantee and the promise of continued support. L.A. Hall diligently worked through the challenges presented by both the school environment and the shape of the roof. Careful planning was required, deliveries arrived early in the morning, and the team would be on the roof ready to work before any children arrived. For the tricky details, Sika Technical Support were on hand to help when required. Aided by the flexibility of the Sika Sarnafil® membrane – the L.A Hall team where able to overcome all obstacles.
